Due to personal health reasons, the production of the Cavway X1 was delayed for some time. I have now resumed work, and here is the current progress:
Updated in Jun 23th, 2025:
- The molds for most silicone components (buttons, USB port covers, etc.) have been completed. The silk printing on these silicone parts is quite refined.
- The plastic casing is currently in the mold-making stage, and the final material will be ABS plastic.
- I've further upgraded the structural design. The final version will feature a removable silicone protective case (similar to a smartphone case), making the device more drop-resistant and visually appealing.
- The plastic casing and silicone protective case molds are expected to be completed and put into production in July. Depending on user demand, we plan to trial-produce around 50 units.
Previous Work (December 2024 - March 2025):
From December 2024 to March 2025, We conducted extensive testing in caves that has proven Cavway X1's superior accuracy and anti-interference performance compared to Disto X. The Cavway X1 can maintain calibration effectively for extended periods, meaning it retains better accuracy even after prolonged use without recalibration or when stored alongside non-strong-magnetic electronic devices.
The Cavway X1 features dual sensor systems that effectively monitor measurement accuracy. Users can set precision-related thresholds - the device will issue alerts when calibration degrades or when interference sources are detected (such as headlamps or anchor points). The new smart calibration assistance function helps users achieve better calibration results by automatically correcting human operation errors during the calibration process.
We are confident that with proper operation by users, the Cavway X1 can more easily achieve BCRA6-level accuracy.
